Solar energy generation in Brazil is growing more and more and is gaining more representation in the energy matrix.
The total granted potential of installed power of solar photovoltaic plants reaches 30.3GW and the states of Minas Gerais, Bahia, Piauí, Pernambuco and Ceará lead the ranking.

The installed capacity of large solar power plants reaches 3,814 MW and exceeds coal, representing 2.1% of the Brazilian energy matrix.
